A: For most cases your could follow these steps
- Insert UTP-cable into the camera and into the network.
- Make sure there is an internet connection in the network.
- Plug in the power-cable of the camera.
- Find the camera by using the software of the camera.
- Assign the camera a static IP address and a port number by using the attached software or the web-interface of the camera.
- Set up the port forwarding for the installed camera by using the web-interface of the local routing-device (modem/router).
- Add the installed camera using the IP address and the port number in the application.
- Global: ip-address-of-the-local-router, port number assigned to the camera.
- Local: local ip address of the camera, port number assigned to the camera.
Q: Is het altijd nodig om de camera en de modem handmatig te configureren?
A: Nee, er zijn camera's die automatisch kunnen worden geconfigureerd en toegevoegd aan uw account zonder de vereiste handmatige installatie.
Dit is de zogenaamde Plug-n-Play-functionaliteit. Op dit moment zijn er verschillende Panasonic en Axis-modellen die deze functie ondersteunen.
