Local Hero Award '14: How to grow from a local to a global hero?

Amsterdam, August 19, 2014

Tijmen Vos, COO & product evangelist at Cameramanager will be the keynote speaker during the Local Hero Award show on November 19th in Maastricht, the Netherlands. Tijmen, an alumnus of the University of Maastricht, will speak about how young entrepreneurs can kick-start their venture and grow from a more local company to a global oriented one. Or as he says it himself: "grow from a local hero to a global hero".

The Local Hero Award is part of the Global Entrepreneurship Week 2014 and is a project from the University of Maastricht and the Limburg University funds. The GEW ’14 is the largest celebration in the world of innovators and job creators of start-ups that bring ideas to life. The goal of the Local Hero Awards is to give students of the University of Maastricht the opportunity to pitch their ideas, learn from successful entrepreneurs, get their ideas assessed by an experienced jury and to win a EUR 10.000,00 kickstart capital.

The Limburg University funds concentrates on enhancing the contacts between the University of Maastricht and its alumni, to raise funds for projects that strengthen the social significance of the University and that it can contribute to a knowledge economy, regionally & internationally, like the annual GEW.
